The suburbs can be very different.
The older inner city ones, some of which have been gentrified, still retain some of the charm of the old days and can be good places to explore.
Pics #1-3 are some examples.
The old iron work is known as "Sydney lace" - Pic #3
There are vast areas of suburbia where people live on their own block of land, with garden, and a 3 bedroom house. Pic #4.
However this is rapidly changing with bigger houses (McMansions) on smaller blocks, epsecially in the real outer suburbs, high rise apparments near areas of good publlc transport like railway stations or ferry terminals.
Thanks for looking.
More to come.
.
Nice ones--the third is my favorite.
The ironwork on the first three is beautiful.
