Backyards...I am working on a project which I call ''Asked Around History'' which is history with photos but also what locals can tell me, just like a cherry on a cake, stuff you do not read about...could be true, stretched some, not true but close but will add colour to the story.

Nice one Jim pg8

Spent a lot of time in China in the second part of last year. Visited 3 different areas for four weeks at a time, taking photographs for an exhibition which was held in the Click Clock gallery in Croydon, South London in January and February. I also made 2 calendars one of China Scenes and the other China Abstracts. The calendars were completely my own work, design and layout, photos, printing and binding, sure kept me busy for awhile. Will post the Abstracts first 3 months at a time

I got my camera and the lens I sent in for calibration, returned a few days ago...
The weather, and my timing to get out have not met in the middle... Getting frustrated, I went out back, with one of my trusted lenses...(Sigma 18-250) -- set the camera to HDR, and cranked in a couple artistic filters....

It's an interesting set, I think... just playing around...
Canon 7D mk II , HDR mode, various artistic filters, in the HDR mode...

(except the 2 snow cones, shot in TV mode, 1/500, auto iso, and aperture)
Which Snow cone shot is better... portrait style? landscape style? (burn'em both?)
I got my camera and the lens I sent in for calibra... (show quote)

I've been attempting to capture the majestic sight of Whooper swans in flight for a few weeks, and think I may have found the right shots - what do you folks think?

Nice ones kipper, really like the 2 and 3 - I think because of lighting in them is better to highlight the wings. Thanks for sharing pg12
