There was a discussion a while ago about an AI program that lets you work with JPEG as if it were raw. Now Topaz has an AI product for sharpening - Topaz Sharpen AI. It's a free download for Topaz customers after you sign in.
EDIT: I see it's Topaz that sells JPEG to RAW AI.

Are they any good?
Someone posted improvements made to an old JPEG. I guess every little bit helps.
Jerry,
I don't see the free download. I am a Topaz customer. Can you point to a link?
This is the link I get:
https://topazlabs.com/sharpen-ai/ It says it is on sale for $60.

Are we now talking about Adobe's "Enhance Detail" again? I mean you did say "little bit" and the enhance detail feature seems to be about as "little" as a "bit" can get.

My view is that the recent "Enhanced Detail" is a glorious failure. For many it doesn't work and for those where it works it doesn't do anything notable.
Adobe brands it's version of AI as "Sensei" and is applying to a variety of their products. In our territory interesting examples are the "Auto" adjustment buttons in Lightroom Classic and ACR. Also is the assignment of keywords and face recognition in Lightroom Cloud CC.
i've been testing the ai giga-pixel app and it works well for scanned slides -- often the 20+mp images are still fuzzy when reduced to 3000x2000 but i get good results with the app by upsizing to 140%, then resizing to 4000x3000
i'll be purchasing it

I just downloaded the 30 trial today. I'm using it on my older HP i7 laptop with maxed RAM. Takes forever to process. Since I only have my laptop here in FL, I'll have to wait until I get home & use it on my Dell XPS 8900.
If it works faster, I'll buy it. Otherwise, I'll stick with what I got.
I have a discount code for all Topaz products.
pm me and I can send it to you.

It’s free if you already own Topaz Infocus.

I was suppose to get Sharpen AI free from Topaz as a loyal long run customer. Free is 59$.

Yes, If you own InFocus Topaz Plug-in
I am trying it out no conclusions yet.
It takes awhile to try Topaz Sharpen AI because of heavy processing. So far, I've tried it on two bird images and don't see any significant improvement over what the Lightroom/Photoshop tools provide. Differences, yes. Improvements, no.
I have 29 days left to decide if it is worth $59! It does not leave watermarks, so I can keep the results if figure out how to get it to work better.
If you already have,,"in Focus", I believe your should receive the upgrade at $39.00
