The Gaylord Hotel itself is pretty amazing.
I have wondered about this, but in bars / clubs in Nashville , do they allow you to take pictures of the performers?

There are photo ops everywhere and everyplace.
Go out and find things that YOU like, not just what a bunch old farts say.

One interesting and unique place in Nashville is the Cornelia park airfield.
It was a small airport that was abandoned several years ago and is now officially a public part of the Nashville Greenway.
The structures are still standing and the runways are still there along with plenty of fields and woods.
I am planning on doing spring sessions there due to the variety of backgrounds.
Thank you very much, each and everyone!
I will be seeking out additional opportunity based on the time of day and an itinerary. The point of asking for the recommendation of others was to try and weave photo opportunity into my day trips. I`m travelling with family members who don't appreciate my wondering to find photo ops. Your suggestions will help keep us (me) on the trail.
Nashville bling. It's everywhere.

Grand Old Opry, the original Ryman auditorium, country music hall of fame, the main street (? Broadway, not sure) has many bars. I was in Nashville about 10 years ago and Alan Jackson popped in to play a set.
A very safe city.

I've been to Nashville many, many times...one of my married kids lives there. Check out all the coffee shops, especially Crema Coffee Roasters and take lots of pics. I've taken a day and just shot pictures...lots of stuff there. Some have already been mentioned in this post. Have fun!

You'll love Nashville. If you'll be with family and may not be able to stray away far, bring a lightweight camera but with decent reach. Take photos as many as you want even at the Grand Ole Pry. I even took a video of the band, "Little Big Town," who were performing at that time. I took it with Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 - great video even from way upstairs with its long reach and 4K feature.
Here are a few of the places we visited. Not in any particular order. Your preferences may differ. Your mileage may vary. So many places to see in Nashville. Time management is vital.

From General Jackson Boat Tour of the City
Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center - Reserve some time for this one.

Bus tour to see celebrities' homes in a nearby town. Guess who owns this house? The clue(s) is right in front of you.

Thank You! Wonderful images!
Yup..I'm with family in tow (or the other way around) and don't wish to deviate off a planned day trip (though we will be there all week long). If there is an "out-of-the-way-but-must-go-see" location for great photo ops, then I would weave it into our daily trip. So far, all the responses suggest I'd be hard pressed to NOT to find an opportunity around every corner. I'm really excited!
I'm taking my 5D IV with a 10-20mm, a 16-35mm, and a 70-200mm. I also have a "new-to-me" Sony a7III with a FE 85 1.8. I have time to make another lens purchase for the Sony (or maybe just buy a Metabones). I have not researched the options yet. I am open to member recommendations, based upon experience/results.
Once again THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
Steven
Here you have my pics around Nashville among hundreds that I have. Great place for photos.
