I live a couple hours from there and am thinking of making the trip to their real store to sell/buy stuff. Is it worth the drive? Thank you in advance!

Basically they have a pick up counter, it is not an actual store. They mainly sell online. The best way to sell equipment is go to one of their buying events.

If you are a couple hours away, another option is Wing's Camera on Briarcliff in Atlanta. They buy and sell but if you are selling you have to put it on consignment.

If it is anything like B&H it would definitely be worth the drive. Just hang onto your wallet with both hands!
A friend and I were given a tour of B&H a couple of years ago and were very impressed. Unless it is a much smaller place then I envision KEH would certainly be worth a look, IMO.

Edit: Just read the previous post that went up while I was typing. Apparently it is smaller then I envisioned! Bummer!

I would say definitely. The only reason I would hesitate is that I know I would not come away empty handed.

Years ago when my wife's daughter and family lived in DUMBO, I visited B&H a few times. Dangerous territory!! I could feel my wallet credit cards pleading for mercy!!

Thank you. Didn't know it wasn't an actual store. Will look into their next buying event.

I would hate to take you away from your office and duties!
BTW, recently bought an EOS R and RF 24-105 lens from B&H. Love 'em!

Always grateful for your patronage (and for anyone who gets me away from my desk). A great time to visit would be during our annual OPTIC Conference which usually takes place around the first week or so in June.

Enjoy the camera and lens!

For those who don't know, DUMBO is--Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The area has undergone a rather spectacular rebirth. From industrial to pricey residential. The Manhattan bridge goes into Manhattan (hence the name) from Brooklyn. And DUMBO is on the Brooklyn side.

I promised you lunch, don't forget. Is that kosher hot dog wagon still around?

Long gone. However we do have an excellent kosher pizza place just a bit south of Times Square (great photo ops there especially in summer). You don't need to buy, It'll be my pleasure just to see you fellas again and say hello!

Have to try to get to the city again!
Times Square, huh! Used to be some really great photo ops there back in the '70's!

I live about 30 miles from their location in Symrna, Georgia and have been there a few times to pick up or return goods. They used to be on Marietta street downtown. They do not have a storefront and you need to call and schedule an appointment to either drop off or pick up anything. I have sold to them but did so at an expo they were at. I wish they did have a storefront, but they don't.

Wish I'd have been able to go inside B & H when I was in NYC several years back. I was with my wife and she wouldn't let me go in the store as she wanted to sightsee, especially the knock-off purses on Canal street.
