Don't be obtuse. The implications are obvious.

Oh so you don’t want to disclose what the implications are to you.

Funny how people clam up when they can’t back up their statements. Try to put a little more thought into it next time.

Or shut up and go to bed”

Again, the founding fathers were Diests, which is a long way from 'Christians', as we know them today. Our country should promote freedom of religion as well as from religion. Stop equating religion with patriotism. Stop thinking that if a person is not religious, they are also not patriotic. If you read your history, you will find that most empires and countries used religion to condone immense numbers of atrocities.

Not buying the Deists thingy. That is your opinion and it is moot. But I agree with most of the rest of your comment. The 2nd Amendment is about freedom of Religion and not freedom from religion.

Well taking that senseless statement into account yes I can see none of it means anything. Finally we agree.

A fantastic photo Sue. Two of the most beloved ideals of our country. Our American Flag representing that of freedom and a church steeple representing freedom of religion which allows all to choose or not to choose their own believes. Love the way the flag leans in towards the steeple. Mahalo for sharing.

Karl Marx said it succinctly: 'religion is the opiate of the masses'

I probably should have posted this in the Christian Photography section - I had no intention of being controversial.

Very nice image Sue, you should be able to post this where ever you would like. Don't pay any attention to those who don't like the real history of our country.

Some who do not like the greatest country in the world because they have to work for what they get. Should move.

Saying it is so, doesn't make it so. Truth is, on many measures of "greatism", the U.S. falls short, far short on several. There is one criteria, though, where the U.S. holds the top spot - Military Strength. But, we may not hold that spot too much longer. Realizing that fact, and acting to move the U.S. toward exceptionalism is something that we all need to work toward.

Now, I expect that many will tell me I should leave the U.S. and go somewhere else, but I'm going nowhere. I intend to stay and, through my votes and activism, work toward making the U.S. as exceptional as many people think it is.
