It is not "ruined forever." Clean up will take some funding, and protection in the future will require staffing and regulations.

If there is no funding or staffing, it'll be forever.

I support increased funding. Do the "build the wall" people here support increased funding for protection of public lands and nature preserves? Pretty rarely, in my experience.

It is not a new story, by the way, and there are people who are are trying to solve problem.

I'm guessing it's not the only place it happens either.

You should see the graffiti on one of the railroad viaducts in Philly.

Railroad infrastructure and rolling stock have been a major target for a long time.

Yes, buses & trucks also. I find it rather odd that they would tag a park/waterfall area.

I am a "build the wall", Korea Veteran, flaming Conservative. I would be averse to having a committee talk about this disgrace but pro-hanging these S.O. B.'s on the spot upon seeing the deed committed. The trouble with liberals is that they always feel that talking will make bad things go away and good things will come to the fore.

Vigilante murder is a more serious crime than vandalism, by the way.

So you did post this in an attempt to stir up trouble, in violation of the site rules.

Just stating what he felt like doing?
YEARS ago people used to say "He aughta be hung.", a figure of speech, now politically incorrect???????

I once climbed a mountain on the Alaskan-Yukon border in a snowstorm with a few friends. The peak turned out to be a small volcanic crater where we rested in the relative warmth before beginning our descent. One of our group, after finishing his Pepsi, threw it into the rocks "so anyone who follows us will know a Pepsi drinker made it to the top". And yeah, I packed it out but they're everywhere.

The defacing of America is a CRIME. The graffiti is a Tag signature of who did it. Find them and jail them.

Makes me wonder if the elders of the ancient cave painters were ticked off....

It is a simple law of Nature:

* Dogs feel the urge to pee on trees to signal other dogs that they were there...

* Idiots feel the urge to destroy objects to signal other idiots that they were there...

The real problem is that the Authority doesn't take real action to control them. They should be arrested, convicted and forced to clean up and repair any damage made by them or other idiots.
