Looking through Netflix last night, I was surprised to see so many James Bond films listed. I think there were nine. I watched an old one and a new one, and I can understand why they are so popular and why the stars don't stay with them very long. They are very physically demanding.

Speaking of stars, Daniel Craig has a house nearby, and he's been seen in the cafe down the road several times. My son helped him at the DIY check-out in Lowe's, but he didn't recognize him. He must have been relieved when he got out quietly. One of the stars of the walking dead almost got out quietly. The people recognized him, but kept quiet. Then a woman saw him and started screaming. If I were a star, I'd develop a good range of disguises.

I own all the DVD's for the James Bond movies and every once in a while I pull them out and watch them over again. My two favorite actors for Bond are Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

Not George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, or David Niven?

When George Lazenby went to audition for the role, he dressed like Bond and got the part.

Ditto Marty's response. My favorite was Connery, but Craig is a close second.

I would add one more to your two name list. The late Roger Moore. When the first movie, Dr. No, 1962, came out with such a bang. The producers knew they hit gold. Roger was part of 7 James Bond movies.

Many also liked Honor Blackman from the 1959 hit.

Like Brucej67 I have all the DVDs. There are 2 versions of Casino Royale. The original version starred Woody Allen, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Ursula Andress, Orsen Welles, & several others. It was a very comedic take off of the Bond series and full of sarcasm & inuendo.

I ventured to the NCIS site a few years back suggesting that Michael Weatherly be cast as the next James Bond in a remake of the classic Goldfinger, simply because he has the Sean Connery look and mannerisms. Since Sean and Moore stopped doing these movies, we've not seen any of the new ones, But would go to see Michael Weatherly in a revamp of goldfinger.

Actually, there are three versions of "Caslno Royale". In the 1950's, there was a version made for TV, starring Barry Nelson as James Bond.

I watched something else, but neither has anything to do with James Bond.

Roger Moore (Who it was said only had two expressions) played bond 'tongue in cheek' The later ones seemed to make it way more 'serious'.

You cannot beat a good Bond movie
