The K-70 is newer technology and has more pixels (24 vs. 16). BTW, there is nothing wrong with Pentax cameras. Nikon and Canon can learn a lesson or two from Pentax.

Not disagreeing here - I was a Pentax user way back in film days, and I know several people who are very happy with their Pentax digitals.

But I'm not familiar with their current digital lineup. What, specifically, could Nickanon (or others, for that matter) learn from what they're doing these days?

For a quick example, Pentax cameras (especially entry level) usually will give you a little more bang for your buck, they have to in order to compete. The Pentax K3ii will outperform the Nikon 5500 and the Canon 70D in iso range and burst shooting and Pentax is very big on weather sealing their body's. I'm not saying all Pentax cameras will outperform Nikon and Canon, just saying Pentax tends to get overlooked because all everyone hears about is Nikon and Canon.

Thanks. I do think the entry level Pentax cameras represent great value, and I've heard great things about their weather sealing.
