...they *are* nice, especially composition. But all of them need to be straightened. In the first you are dealing with a sloping geography, but the building is built plumb and square (at least that's how this 40 year carpenter learned it) and if you run a true vertical line through the pic you'll see the structure is not in plumb, nor, to a lesser degree, level. In the second the phenomenon is less evident but to my eye that doorway needs a little scootch to the right. In the third I think it'd look better with the wall paper plumbed...and maybe a bit sharper focus. JMHO, but I'm a bug on lines doncha know. ;0)

The sliding barn doors in the first shot are vertical, unless my browser window edges are not plumb. The sloping ground adds to the non-level perception. (I enlarged and moved left and right.)
In the second, the left building is only off a few degrees, which I would attribute to the structural integrity of the buildings.
In the third, I believe the camera angle yields the perception of not plumb (check the doorway).
I'd keep them as is for leveling.

Will play closer attention to that Charlie, but a lot of these barns etc in Tennessee may have started out plumb but as the years go by they may no longer be so or the foundations were simply a pile of rocks. But you are correct about the need to be straight.

...yes, indeed on the olde constructs. But a practiced eye can see what's what...heh...you rock on, Tad!

I really like the mood and warmth of the second image. Definitely a keeper.

Did you try different vantage points when creating the second. Just seems a little "scrunched" to me and might be a bit better in a little wider format. I'm wondering how it would look if you took a few steps back and to the right. Would it separate the two structures a bit and provide a bit more "space". Just thinking outlaid. Love the image.

All are very good B&W images - perfect subjects for that treatment! I especially like #2 and#3.

Beautiful set, Tad. I am also going to throw my hat into the rink for #2. It has a bit of an eerie, haunting look; nicely done.
