The most popular tourist spot is on the north shore - the Polynesian Visitors Center (or something like that).

Oahu has many photographic areas. A few I like include: The Punchbowl; Iolini Palace; Top of Diamondhead;; The Pali; Hickam AFB/Pearl Harbor; Northshore (Bonzi Pipeline (surfing); Wheeler AFB.

Polynesian Culture Center. Great place. From Honolulu, drive around Diamond Head and around the east side of the island. Stop at the Buddhist temple, then continue north to the Polynesian Culture enter. Great place for lots of photos. Don't use flash during the shows.

Is the Arizona Memorial back open? I read a while back that it was closed for some work. If it is open, it is a place every red-blooded American should visit at least once. (Take tissues.)

I visited it in 1967 on my first rotation to Johnston Island--had to spend 3 nights in Honolulu waiting for my military flight to JI.
