Delaware has no sales tax, very reasonable income tax with nice deductions for us old folk, and very low property taxes.

When I retired to Delaware I bought a bigger (still modest) house on twice the property as I had on Long Island. My property taxes are 1/10 what I would be paying had I not moved.

While my income in retirement is considerably less than when I was working, disposable income is quite a bit higher. A friend of mine who retired to Delaware from New Jersey experienced the same thing. His wife said that moving out of Jersey was almost like winning the lottery.

Of course, you can provide a VALID source/reference of that?

Please explain to us at what point wealth becomes "obscene." My definition of it is only when it is acquired or earned by dishonest means.

I think most states get back less than they put it. What goes to Washington DC gets gobbled up right there.

Please pardon me if I don't take a report on this subject from a NY State functionary at face value.

Hampshire is a great haven for the rich. No income tax, no sales tax. But brother, watch out when it comes time to pay your property tax. as home owners get the shaft. Tax on a 140K house is $4000 per year.

That's nothing, I'm paying almost 9K/year in property taxes for a 2600 square foot house in Illinois!

Wealth disparity is what is obscene. When people who are already billionaires get tax breaks, and those on the opposite end are not allowed an increase in the minimum wage.

Tar? How 19th century.
We now have much better adhesives like epoxy and cyanoacrylate.

Yes, I owe more this year than last. So much for the tax cut. I live in CA so our 13% state income tax isn't deductible anymore. Sucks. Tax cuts benefit the rich? I'm not rich, just comfortable, so I don't know what to think. Rich is driving a $150,000 car or owning a private jet. Not a 7 year old car, a 10 year old car, and a mortgage. Sure didn't benefit me and my wife.

The tax cut isn't one you will see when you file your taxes. You got the tax cut in each pay check you got though out the year, when they took out less in each pay check. I'm sure you noticed that. As far as not being able to deduct an unlimited amount of ridiculous state taxes so that the rest of the country helps you pay them. Those days are over. You now need to hold your state accountable for their excessive taxation without dumping it on the rest of the country.

Hey, as long as the very wealthy don’t have to pay, all is good. As an FYI, Netflix made $845 million dollar profit and don’t have to pay a penny in taxes.

The issue isn’t that a politician promises tax cuts, the problem is that the people believe it.

That reduction in cooperate taxes is what is creating all the new jobs and the expansion of the overall economy. Our corporate tax rate was the highest in the world and was causing high unemployment. Job are returning to this country. With those jobs comes additional tax revenue. I know that's hard for liberals to understand but jobs are necessary for families to get off of welfare and food stamps, and become successful. That is something liberal hate. People not needing government.

Of course that the rich pays taxes but they have more itemized deductions. I heard that eventually we will not have itemized deductions but do not believe me.
I have not prepared my income tax yet but I am convinced I will have to pay back, chances are excellent that I will pay more than last year. The money comes from my retirement account that did not pay taxes till now so I will call it fair.
We all have to pay taxes, that is for sure although there will always be some that wil pay less than others.
Being poor has a big advantage and it is how cheap it is when it comes to paying taxes.
