That sure is a lot of weight on the roof! We feel lucky that we did not get that type of snow this winter but there is still time!

Great shot! Welcome to Michigan! I was in SLC one winter about 30 yr ago when they had a record snowfall. Is this heavier than normal? Wet or dry snow? Better get a roof rake!

I have lived in SLC for seven decades; I remember a 30 inch snowfall on April 30 (!) about forty years ago.

Heard on the weather report last night that Mammoth Mt. has received 15 feet of snow in January alone. At it just keeps coming down. Wow, I thought I was doing good with getting 5 feet in a week at out cabin in the hight country. We have 100 lbs/sq ft rating on our ceiling trusses and a metal roof which helped out for the snow load. Many of our neighbors lost their roofs. Glad I am not at Mammoth Mt.

Imagecreator - I do not understand the reason of this post. Are you complaining OR just bragging how picture perfect opportunity you got? .......Just kidding , I love your shot . I live in Florida , but I spent 5 years in Canada . I miss the snow ...not the shovel. Miro

Your crooked wondering trail ImageCreator, leading right into your camera is rather disturbing.
Just two or three steps to your left and you would have a picture - 20 inches of an enjoyable morning surprise.
Happy trail breaking!
