I am so sorry you are facing the stress and uncertainty of this hassle. The very first thing I would do is contact my credit card company, explain the problem and put the charge into dispute.

Shout out to Henry and to B&H. They are here for us, right here, right now, online... Can't get much better service than that. It is early in the episode, hopefully all will be resolved, painlessly (other than wait time).

Thank you.

Today there are a number of remedies for your problem. Step 1: First, I'm pretty sure there's a tracking number and updates for your shipment. (I tossed mine because I received my new camera and lens from B&H earlier this week. But I had tracking information emailed to me regularly--really TMI for me but it was there.) So, somewhere you should have that number. If you can't find it B&H should help you get it then you can go to Fed-X and they should help you. A bad answer should allow you to go to a supervisor and up until you get an answer.

The final answer was stated earlier--don't pay your credit card bill for what you didn't get--contest it. Then the credit card company will look into it. Your statement that you did not receive it usually carries (unless you have a long list of claimed non-receipts).

Good luck--you should eventually get your new gear and should have it long enough to forget or laugh about this temporary glitch. In any event you should not have to pay for something you did not receive and ultimately it should be up to Fed-X and B&H to hash out who's responsible.

FEDEX Tracking copy and paste REQUIRE PROOF OF SIGNATURE

I had a problem once, the claim was put in with FEDEX and B&H replaced the lost package. Insist on shipper requiring a signature.

I've used my pickup truck sitting in my driveway for my secure "drop box" with FedEx more than once. Normally it's locked all the time, but when I expected a delivery and wouldn't be home, I would leave it unlocked and have them drop the package on the front floor and lock the door. Not the best idea, but sure beats leaving a package on the doorstep.

I also bought a D750 from B&H just recently along with the free Ruggard shoulder bag, Watson battery, and Sandisk SD card. The D750 had to be signed for. I wasn't going to be home so I had it sent to a FedEx facility. I went there, signed for it, and got my camera. They will not deliver it if no one is home to sign for the package. The battery was shipped directly to my house (no signature needed for that).

Are you sure that a signature was not required for your D750 shipment?

I had similar issues with FED-EX and B&H. Finally a call to my CC provider got results. No proof of delivery from seller then no money. Period. All packages from B&H to me now require a signature. I do have to remember to request it as it is not automatic. I have kept copies of emails regarding this issue from them to me and me to them. So far so good but I have noticed a scowl on my FED-EX driver's mug when I am signing for the goods.

Good luck. Don't back down. Make them prove, to your CC company, it was delivered then ask to see the proof.

Unfortunately you can't. The list of names to call Alexa is limited. I tried earlier this year to name mine Hal.

Yes FEDEX and UPS both are terrible especially if you use their "smart post" or similar in which the Post Office takes over delivery at the destination. I have had problems in the past and contacted the credit card company I used and they at least investigated it and gave me credit fairly quick if that was the recourse that needed to be taken. Yes it is very hard to contact FEDEX and UPS now as they dont want to talk to the consumer and thus make it hard to get thru to them.

You can setup the delivery for you to pick it up at FedEx who will hold it for you.

Good idea if you live close by. The closest Fed Ex office to me is 1 1/2 hrs round trip.

USPS is nothing to brag about either. We have rural delivery. The mailman delivered a box that did not fit in the mailbox. He made it fit. I had to open the crushed box from the end and remove a very expensive lens befor I could get the box out of the mail box.

Not happy with USPS. Have ordered items to delivered on Saturday. USPS does not deliver on Saturday. And if Monday is a holiday you will not get your “Saturday delivery” until Tuesday.

Betcha paid the Saturday delivery rate anyway.

If the address on B&H website is correct then you should be able to show FedEx and ask why it went to Pittsburgh and ask what happens if it is refused. Were you home when the battery was supposedly delivered? Theft of packages left at front doors is a growing problem.

Interesting. Good info, but the FEDEX drivers here are in FEDEX trucks, same driver all the time, young fella who said he likes to work and make good pay (he's no rocket scientist, but seems like a fine young fella) saving up to buy a house.

I only know what I have been told by FedEx - that the delivery drivers own their own vehicles [even ones that are painted with the FedEx design]. Perhaps they don't do it the same everywhere, I don't know.

My main point is that people with missing packages need to file a claim with the delivery company. They cannot do anything to help until that is done. Plus contact the seller and credit card company. Eventually something will happen and problem gets solved.

Without reading all the responses above, I'll give my 2 cents worth and therefore it may worth less than 2 cents.

Just after Christmas, I had one of my pictures printed by Mpix (by recommendation of someone here) and was very pleased with the 12 x 18 print. I proceeded to cut a mat, make and stain a frame for it, cut the glass and then assemble the whole mess. The resultant picture I thought was good. I put a lot of time into it, but since I cut the mat and glass and made the frame, the total cost was around $70. I packaged it up to a semi-bullet proof state and took it to FedEx for shipping to some friends of mine out of state. The shipping was fairly cheap and I insured it for $100. This was on a Thursday and they said it should arrive by about Monday.

I started following the tracking and it showed that on Saturday at 6:11 a.m., it was on a truck for delivery. That posting didn't change until the following Wednesday when suddenly it said that it had been delivered at 1:16 p.m. SATURDAY. I wondered why it took 4 days to update when it had been delivered. Come to find out that they never received it. Furthermore, they live in a rural area where they don't know of any folks complaining of package thieves. I went back to FedEx and eventually filed a claim, but to no avail. They say that they delivered it, but since it wasn't requiring a signature, they can't say the someone didn't pick it up. They said they did have record of delivery though, so their part was done, no return on the insurance.

I'm going to send them a letter back saying that since they can't deliver or prove they did deliver, I can't continue to use them and will tell my story to others. The whole thing was fishy since the updating happened in such a strange manor.

I'm off the soap box.
