So where do you stand exactly right now? Is it possibly with the post office?

I recently purchased a used Fujinon lens from B and H. (The latest of several purchases from them). Customer service was great, he had all of my correct billing/shipping information and the lens was to be shipped on a Friday with delivery the following Tuesday. I sat back and waited.... until I got an email saying it was going to be delivered a day early, Monday. Excited. Then I glanced at the shipping address. Not my correct address! I called UPS and they said I could not change the delivery address, only the shipper could.
I called B and H, they apologized, corrected the address and I got the lens on the original Tuesday delivery date.

I must say that i always place my orders over the phone with an actual sales person and have never been disappointed with their service or merchandise. Never heard of a “off-shore” voice practicing their English. Have dealt, however, with some strong NYC accents. Haha.

Finally decided to buy a new D750 from B&H, ordered on Thursday evening, was shipped in two packages was supposed to be delivered Monday, it wasn't . Tracking says one package containing the spare battery was delivered, it WASN'T. (at least not to me) Tracking also says the other package was refused. It wasn't by me. Furthermore, tracking says it was refused in Pittsburgh, my address is NOT Pittsburgh
I called B&H and they say they can do nothing until it gets back to them, IF it gets back to them. I cannot find a number for FedEx
B&H also says they will refund my card when the camera gets back to them, but what about the package they say is delivered, I know of no way I can prove I did not receive it.
I also reviewed my order on B&H,s web site and the address IS correct

I don't know what has happened to FEDEX as they used to be very dependable. But now, it doesn't matter what or where you buy...packages are misdelivered but yet say they were delivered to your home...fortunately we have a network neighborhood site and find packages that way when people post they received a package that was not thiers. UPS takes a photo of the front door where they left it or at least they do here. B&H should hold any carriers they use up to a standard IMO or use a different carrier...of course they will pass on any increase which I guess if you get your package might be worth it.

I always used to get my B&H packages from UPS. Never had a problem. Once B&H started shipping my gear by FedEx, I started having issues. One time, it took them more than a week to deliver a ground package - and FedEx blamed "bad weather," when the bad weather was in the Carolinas, and I live in Connecticut, so from Kearny NJ to Wallingford CT is as far as it had to go. Now, I have to watch for FedEx, because they also deliver my stuff to other units in the complex. (And they often report material is delivered before they deliver it.)

I have dealt with B&H also for years. Just a suggestion. Set up an online account with all yor information. That way they have your address on file along with everything else that they would need eliminating any problems with where they are shipping.

If I did not receive the product, and the dealer & shipping company kept stalling me, I would notify my credit card bank and request a reversal of the charge. When I RECEIVE the product in good condition, I would contact the CC bank, and pay for it. No product = no PAY.

However, I have NEVER had any problem with either B&H or FedEx.

I think a lot of it depends on where you live and the ethics of the driver and depot. We had awesome service from UPS in Florida, but in Tennessee, it totally stinks. They left a signature required wine basket somewhere in the driveway and it was never found. On the other hand the USPS was terrible in Florida and great here.

My son ordered a gun on line. Fed Ex left it lying in the driveway. I'm sure a signature should have been required but they didn't even come to the door.

What kind? Rifle and pistols (powder) have to be transfered via FFL dealer. air-rifle and pistols don't have to be (in most cases) black powder pistols and rifle can be shipped to your door without transfer.

Unfortunately this story is becoming all too common. Ive had the delivery of several packages messed up by Federal Express in the last year. Wrong addresses ( including one sent to the wrong town), even when all the information was correctly shown on order. Thank God there still are some honest people out there who report packages found on their front porch. One such Federal Express package required a signature, was signed for by a Six Year Old Child, and luckily his mother asked him who was at the door, then called Federal Express to report the mater. I've had several that were supposed to have a signature, and the drivers just failed to get one, leaving it on my front door. Too many people out there would love to have these jobs. Hopefully some of them will be replacing the likes of those drivers. Good luck, hopefully those items will show up.

I'm in a rural area, Fedex delivers here, along with all the others, even the newer delivery outfits like Lazership (Lasership ?). 98% of my deliveries go off w/o a hitch, especially with my regular drivers (USPS, UPS and FEDEX). Lasership knows where I am now, after several deliveries to a house about 2 miles away that has same house number, and similar street name (the homeowner dropped off the package on their way into town).

Prior to Christmas, I had a lens delivered by FEDEX, he honked as he left it at the gate (I normally walk out and am handed the item), I waved from the window and he knew it was OK to leave.

Approx. 2 minutes later I'm walking out to the gate (my drive is approx. 200', gate is 3 car lengths in) and a little white car is slow rolling up the drive and two people are hanging out the windows on each side scanning. If the package had not been placed in a little hidden hiding spot on my side of the chain latched gate (all the drivers know this spot) they would have had it before I got to it.

They were so busy trying to figure out where it was that they about had a cow when they looked up and saw me standing there. They back out of the drive very quickly while shouting "sorry wrong address" and I shouted back "that's right", and they almost ran into the same FEDEX truck as it came back from another delivery and the dead-end turnaround, and they sped off. I watched them (from the bushes) wait down at the corner for a few seconds, then they turned and followed the FEDEX truck down the highway.

I called the local FEDEX number (which is located about 35-40 miles away) and told them what just occurred, while I was on the line they notified the driver he was being followed. They thanked me, and the driver thanked me next time I saw him. Now if he doesn't see me or talk to me, he opens the gate and brings it to my door, and latches the gate on the way out.

If you try, you can find a FEDEX number.

I can vouch for FEDEX as this is the worse delivery service ever. they are constantly delivering our packages to other addresses ( deliberately) and they the drives has the nerve to bring the damage or opened box to use and have us sign off on his mistake. Forget that.. Read the headlines as several FEDEX drivers have been reported for swapping good products for bad products and taking the good stuff home with them. The last time we ordered something, the drive approached our porch with a cigarette in his mount! I contacted FEDEX afterward and said is this allowed?. The spoke person seem concerned.

I can't vouch for B&H, but I can say, that I've sent emails just to get a feel of those I could have been dealing with and needless to say I wasn't getting good vibes from those I spoke with. Same holds true for Adaroma and you're going to get several different views from both sides of this..

Cigarette in his mount? Are you sure this wasn't pony express?

I don't know about FedEX, but UPS drivers used to delivery my goods anywhere they pleased, sign off on them as delivered, and I was out the goods I ordered. When the supplier would check on the shipment, UPS would "prove" to them it had been signed for (by the driver!). I think this is now standard policy for UPS, and probably FedEx also. One easy thing to do is to require the shipment go to a company (not an individual). That way, the driver is forced to have someone in the company sign for it. And, they have to deliver it to INSIDE the business (not just leave it on the front porch). At least that's the plan.

All the B&H orders I've received have been insured by them, so if it didn't arrive correctly, they were covered and could reship.

Unfortunately in today's world, the people who receive misshipped or misdelivered goods feel no compunction to return the goods. It's like getting a gift! And they either keep it or toss it away. That sounds cynical, but I've found it to be sadly true.

In the first place the buyer did not pay for it, he charged it.
B&H Shiped it and insured it, and a hold has been placed on their money,
The shipper will try to recover it.

That is just the way it is,
B&H is out the Merchandise that they paid for. the. Buyer is out nothing,
Truth.
