My mentality on photography is to always be Looking for the bizzare.....odd, and different. Today while riding my bike on the boardwalk at the beach I spotted a film crew filming a German TV program. I was all over it! For a couple of these photos I cloned out the guy lines. Keep your eyes forever peeled for opportunities that randomly happen my fellow UHH friends!

Yeah Curmudgeon.......I agree. The photos are nothing more than a documentary of the event........nothing special. I do love the bizzareness (if that's even a word) of the imagery.

I like your photo series. This is one of the reasons Surf City is so unique. In the space of a week you can find much to photograph by the city beach and nearby wetlands. Even in the winter.
Your photos do a great job of telling me the story of a film production. It makes me wonder about overkill and how they probably could have produced similar results with a green screen and a bit of video editing.

Green screens are not as effective as many think. However, photographic adjustment will certainly be applied in this production. It does diminish the time for the processing and there are details that could not be duplicated in green screen. The result of whatever process is used will determine the success of the chosen method.

Even in the movies that are doing a tremendous amount of CGI they find limitations in story telling.

Bottom line, it depends on the purpose for the processing as to which will give the best result in the story telling.

The series above tells a story without the benefit of green screen. Would it have more impact if it was green screened?

You certainly have found "Bizarre" Brent. Did you manage to find out the name of the show? Maybe they are trying to recreate the Steven Spielberg image of the boy riding his bicycle over the Moon. Whatever, the images certainly do tell an interesting story. Click Click.
