some bridges in Arizona

Pg. 13 - Wow, Kat. I've never been to Arizona, but have
seen a lot of images from there...but none quite like these!

The engineering just blows me away! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Tim! I'm sure you would get on it if you were standing there.....it lures one across! But then I really love suspension bridges & enjoy the movement one feels.....especially when someone starts jumping around on it!

...which is EXACTLY why I'd never get on it...LOL

I'm sure some folks looking at these few pictures will recognize the location. These were taken at Glenwood Canyon which is a rugged, scenic 12.5 mile canyon that follows the Colorado River on Interstate 70 (I-70) in Colorado. It's one of the most expensive rural highways per mile ever built in the United States. It was completed on October 14,1992. Along that stretch of highway there are 40 bridges, viaducts and miles of retaining walls. Needless to say.....we love driving through Glenwood Canyon! Bob

A few minutes after posting this.....I decided to add 3 more pictures. It's 12:40 AM so maybe no one will notice my interruption!

Hi John......We love crossing the Mackinac Bridge. But the log bridge in Olympic National Park appears somewhat exciting to cross!! Perhaps some day....! Bob

Thanks for hosting, Karin, and nice way to start us off!

Not too many bridges in "our area," but I do have some
from our travels...

OK Tim! Now you have me excited! Your picture of the bridge over Sidney Harbor with all the people walking across the top.....may just give me another reason to book a trip!! YES....I would definitely walk it! Most excitement I've had in awhile! Bob

Nice grouping of "Bridges" Photogirl! Especially like the wooden bridge with all the moss that leads one into the woods to continue the adventure! Bob

A little late to the party. Some local bridges. These are all of the same Swinging foot bridge. Yes, you can feel it move as you cross, but it's not bad.

Sounds like my kind of "party"! I would enjoy your Swinging foot bridge along with the feeling of movement as one crosses it. Fun! Bob
