Some truly bizarre visual imagery in this YouTube video of the aria "Vivi Tiranno," from Handel's opera Rodelinda, sung by the sensational American counter-tenor Anthony Roth Costanzo. (For those unfamiliar with the genre, a counter-tenor sings in the same vocal range as a female alto or soprano. And no, his high notes are not the result of surgery "down there".)
In case you are wondering, the visuals do not in any way reflect the text, which can be viewed by clicking Show More or the Down arrow, depending on whether you view this video on a computer or a phone.

got about a quarter of the way into it. PRETTY creepy.
You're obviously not a lover of grand opera.
Weird, creepy, disgusting. Nice music but, otherwise, not for me.

Fantastico. Molto creativo.

Astute observation.
George Glass? Any relation to Philip Glass?
I am bored to tears by Glass's operas.

If you want an opera to be bored by, I recommend Karl Orff's "Antigone". It has its moments but they're pretty far apart IMHO (YMMV). On the other hand, I enjoy "Der Mond" and "Die Kluge". Maybe because they're oriented toward children.
Listened to Antigone in college and WAS bored! I prefer Carmina.

Best thing from Antigone is the alarm clock
loved the music, didn't care for the images. Did like the Toad on the drum set though.
