Got this in an email. Under that dark hair there's a rampant blonde trying to get out.

Too funny! Apparently, she's not from the country where Duck Tape and Bailing Wire fix just about anything.

It's got to be an attempt at humor.

Looks like you and Trump don't know how to spell or use correct grammar. If you look carefully, I'm sure you can find additional political implications in the image.

Of course, the two words, "duck" and "duct," sound similar when spoken. The word "duck" is easier to say when referring to duct tape. Each word has its own definition. I venture that most people couldn't care less about these distinctions.

Funny, but I'm sure that was intended to be funny.

And lots of that tape is sold as "Duck Tape." Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with taping ducts. And "duck" is a more appropriate name for it.

"Cotton Duck (from Dutch doek,"linen canvas"), also simply duck, sometimes duck cloth or duck canvas — commonly called "canvas" outside the textile industry — is a heavy, plain-woven cotton fabric."

I like the Gorilla version of the product - strong and sticky.

Either is acceptable, unfortunately. My understanding is that it was invented by a woman in WWII to water proof the ammo boxes and yet make it easy to open.

Duck is a brand of waterproof tape. Duct tape (the real high heat-resistant kind used by HVAC installers) is a different thing. It’s also a term used by 3M and others to describe knock-offs of Duck Tapes.
