It was -13 F but there were blue skies, which we haven't seen in a while...so just had to go out and take advantage! Hope you enjoy the mountains as much as I do. These were taken on the North Fork Rd outside of Columbia Falls Mt and the road runs along the boundary of Glacier National Park

Nice series cindy, is that a eagle in the 4th. Some times we just have to get out there no matter what. I was out Jan 30th temp was -22 below with a -42 wind chill, BUT there was blue sky and going to take advantage of it. Were lucky to see the sun 1 in 9 days this time of year!! And than when we do it is usually a short period.

The picture with the Eagle is excellent to me. He is sitting there examining his vast domain. Another right there, right time capture.

Thank you and yes, that is an eagle on the top of that tree. I lived in Sioux City for about 6 years -- I felt sorry for you all in that last cold spell! We live in a valley so we get inversions thru the winter - so when the sun does come out....we take advantage as well.

Thank you! I took one in landscape but it just didn't show the mountains the way the portrait one does...I really like this one as well.

Thanks and glad you like it! The North Fork road is a 50 mile long dirt road that runs out of Columbia Falls to the Canadian border. The border crossing is closed but it's a wonderful drive! Don't see the critters like we used to - there used to be massive herds of elk and deer all along that road as well as Moose - pretty much now all you see are grizzly bears, wolf tracks and mountain lion tracks. Sad to see the changes to this area.
