Love the setup except for the white graduate. It draws attention to itself and at first glance appears to be plastic, which is not in keeping with the period effect.

Thanks for your critique, I didn't see it that way. It actually is made of hand blown glass, and what you can't see is an identification etched into it with a date mark June 1875 and a pharmacy name that is hard to read from London England. I appreciate your comment.

Interesting composition, but you cut off the bottom of the bottles, etc. Try bringing the composition down so you can see the bottom of the glass. The items in the background are sufficiently dim as to not bring that much to the composition vs the foreground objects. I know this isn't always possible, but it will make for a more effective image.

Thanks, I appreciate your suggestion. I have forgotten a lesson I learned years ago, the film days, about looking from corner to corner in the viewfinder before hitting the exposure button.

Boy do I remember those days.....flunked chemistry big time but the hardware was cool to play with and we had fun with it jus the same.
