Sorry Mate, No whales in any of the Great Lakes. Because of your geographic location, I am sure on a map they look large enough to be salt water bodies. There is an abundance of nature and wildlife opportunities, but be aware that February and March in those areas can be COLD. The scenery/landscape along the north shore of Lake Superior is amazing. Think Duluth MN, north to Grand Morais, MN. Best of luck

As far as I know, as a Michigander, there are no Whales in the Great Lakes. Both Lake Michigan and Lake Superior are Beautiful, if you travel to the "Upper Peninsula" of Michigan you will travel over the famous Mackinaw Bridge, (The Mighty Mac), a view you may always remember, where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet together under that Bridge, which is 5 miles end to end. Another place you should not miss is "Makinaw Island" reached by Ferry Boats, back and Forth all day, Spring, Summer & Fall. As you travel North in Michigan, the beauty will increase and add to your memories of your visit.

No, most definitely Whales only live in the Ocean, Atlantic, Pacific, etc.

The weather can vary from 0C to -25C, and in an extreme can drop to maybe -30C. Mostly February... March is starting to 'warm up'. If you can make the trip in the fall, there are lovely colours as the leaves change in the fall. I'll see if I can dig up a photo showing the colours.

I thought it made sense... no food left, so sharks left... no sharks, either.

I apologize for this question. I have advance degrees in science and know the answer.

Sorry to appear to be unaccommodating, my European friend.
