Sunset shots after storm can either be spectacular or so-so.

Love sunset photos. The second reminds me of the lyrics from a song, "At the end of the storm, there's a golden sky..."

I like the second photo. You caught that seagull at the right moment and the composition is excellent.

PhotoHobbyist, Here’s a golden one from a few weeks ago.
Floyd2, b/w just doesn’t have the pizazz that the color gives it. I tried that version and was not happy with the result.

God is a great painter! I like #2. It holds you a split second longer//the juxtaposition of the two subjects creates a feeling--gives it dimension/photo personality. That's the 'postcard.' //And, I AM living in drab Ohio--jealous. Thanks for the photos.

Early one morning back in early September, as I rode my motorcycle through northern Ohio, I saw a beautiful sunrise that I wish I had photographed. However, I did not take the time.

YW. I agree, nature has a way of grabbing our attention. As Linda of Maine had said, the gull helps guide you into the photo where your eye can get lost in that explosion of color.
Where in Ohio? My lady Katrina went to college in Akron and we have friends in Wooster.

Tomorrow is not too late. Pack your camera when you go out.
