Thanks for that info. I have a rain sleeve but it is hard for me to see the controls and through the viewfinder.

My experience is that rain often comes with wind and, though I have a decent umbrella, rain will find a way in unless you have whatever sealed from all directions. I carry a large plastic bag just in case I get caught in a downpour but not for shooting with. It's not worth the risk to expensive equipment.

From the pictures it looks as something very fragile to carry on a backpack for example. Looks like acrylic that would crack quite easily
