Worked on this comp for a few days and am happy with this one. It hailed so hard moments after this image this entire scene turned white, it was a hussle back to the car!
It is s really quite beautiful. Your patience and perseverance paid off.
Strikingly beautiful image.
Eeeesh. First someone complains that it's not straight from the camera, then allows that in the darkroom one had "control of the results." No contradiction there, of course.... As for "now you tell a computer what you want and get it," um, no. I have a friend who does stunning digital work that I cannot for the life of me reproduce with similar subjects. Skill is STILL necessary.
OK, rant over. I love this! Can't add much to everyone else's words, but the counterpoint of the brooding overall feel and the radiant sun is wonderful. (All right, I might bring up the dark left side JUST a smidge, but I'd also be very happy with it as is were it mine.)
Call it overcooked, or anything you want, that is a great image!
Like another World Entirely.....stunning image. Good Job sir.
