This was forwarded to me by my brother-in-law.
Good one, I like. Thanks.
What does the Coast Guard do ?
Scorpions don't usually live on boats/ships, so it would probably be a photo in a magazine and they would turn the page!
Yeah, the Air Force would find a site for the base. Then they would put in all the housing. commissary, exchange and golf courses. Then go back to Uncle Sam and say if you want us to fly planes you better give us more money to build a runway. The Navy would go and build the biggest, baddest ships it could build and when asked where the people would live simply gave blank stares (I am retired Navy). LOL

The Coast Guard is no longer part of the Armed Forces, but not part of the Department of Homeland Security. My brother was in the Navy and never one time set foot on a ship. I was not in the military. Came close to joining the National Guard once, but then the bar closed and well...
Air Force Vet here, so I can relate.
Go Air Force...………..I am retired Air Force
Regardless of where the scorpion goes, I'd like to thank all our allied Service men and women across the globe for their sacrifices at home and abroad for protecting our Nation(s).

As a former Coast Guardsmen (retired 26yrs svc). The USCG is a military service 7th largest Navy in the world, in their history (and when I joined) operated under the Treasury dept, then the Dept of Transportation, and after 9/11 they operate under the Dept of Homeland Security, in time of a war/conflict they become part of the Navy. There is no such thing as (no longer part of) and that is the rest of the story.
