Well time for an update. After a 3 hour sardine can plane ride full of crying babies, and a cab ride that would have made a Nascar driver pucker up his seat covers! I am at the hotel but its one of about a dozen sitting here without power tonight! Went out around 7 I guess so the guests are just sitting around the patio waiting for power. No food, no rooms, not even any booze to be had!

Congratulations! We should give you an award on UHH for all the helpful information you've given us over the years. Enjoy south beach, shooting the art deco and people there is fun.

Congratulations on your award!

We went to Clearwater, FL last month. Took heavier clothing only for the first day’s drive and last day’s drive, since that would still be cold. Turns out it was only in the 50s there, so the warmer clothing felt good!

Sitting at the airport here in Billings, MT waiting for my flight to Miami to attend the Tamron award seminar for the top 10 Tamron store sales employees of 2018. Its -7 here now, thats up from the -13 we had when I got up. Wind chills are -23 to -35. Its 76 in Miami so needless to say I am packed VERY light for the week! Still supposed to be very cold when I get back on Friday but the break from this will be nice.
I have 5 hours free Tuesday morning in South Beach if any UHH members might like to meet up.
Not going to miss this at all:

Enjoy! I left Colorado about 6 years ago and do not plan to return. I loved CO while I was there but I have gotten very use to this Az weather. I never want to drive on ice and snow nor clear a driveway ever again! You may feel the same after Florida weather.

That's great, and congrats on the award!! It was 45 last night here in the boonies northwest of KSC, but it is warming up quick since the sun came up. It will be much nicer down Miami way (several hundred miles south of me).

On side note - several years back I read that Florida has the highest incidences in the US of weather related exposure cases, folks get caught out all the time with less clothing than they need to stay warm, and during winter we have a much larger population of homeless, adding to those numbers.

Why is it we always hear the bad things about many States but never the good. Nothing wrong with four seasons. You always have something to look forward too.
