Apparently, the genocide of an estimated 55,000,000 people can cause a global environmental problem. Which brings an obvious, inescapable conclusion; that those 55,000,000 people knew a lot more about how to live in harmony with their environment, than us “Johnny come lately” types.

Whodathunkit? 😱🤔🤫

I don't understand your comment but I understand the rubbish in this article. The Climate Change crowd and the Hate America crowd have floated another bad science hypothesis that fits in with their narrative.

This is all built on the premise that small changes in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere Causes climate change. Carbon dioxide makes up .04 percent of our atmosphere. Nitrogen makes up about 80 percent and Oxygen the rest. Give me a break by saying that a few parts per million of a gas that only contributes .04 percent can cause climate change.

And they seem to be having glee in having found another bad genocide event that can be saddled to white american civilization while at the same time bolstering theories of climate change. A two-fer.

Most American Indians were hunter gatherers with little land given over to cultivation. There is little evidence that there were 55 million of these inbabitants - more like 8 million. The institution of plantation farming and greater mass farming which is the basis for current agriculture is something occurring in the last 200 years, and not something that was present in the time of American Indians as the sole inhabitants.. Note also that currently forestation of the Eastern coast region is at a level higher than when the Pilgrims landed. The effect of carbon dioxide and methane on the greenhouse effect is well established science. The only unknown in this whole issue is whether we can do anything about it by modifying current energy production and utilization. Given the horrendous problems if warming continues, we should try for the sake of future generations of humans.

They also mentioned in the article that this genocide coincides with the Little Ice Age. So, what is the effect? Ice Age or Global Warming?

I mentioned that article recently, thanks for posting it. The answer is more greenery, plant more trees. Last week while in The P.I. We drove thru a rain forest that was replanted after being clear cut for wood, the air was 15 degrees cooler and much fresher.

The article is not about the genocide but about the lowering of CO2 levels due to increasd forestation.

To give it it's the correct name it's Climate Change. Not global warming and it doesn't matter whether it's man-made or not. It's something we have to take into account and plan for instead of doing the ostrich impersonation. It's common knowledge that the Ice shelves are melting, to ignore photographic evidence is silly. So are authorities making plans for rising sea's and the predictions of more severe weather not in the UK we are still building on land that will be under the sea in 50 years and still building houses using traditional methods that are probably not capable of standing up to more severe weather.

A little real science. Arctic sea ice melting will not add 1 inch to sea levels. And the Thermo-haline effect from lessened salt in the sea water and altering the Atlantic conveyor wiil mean a much colder U.K. And a lessening of tropical storms-hurricanes, in the atlantic You have to remember that the UK is on the same latitude as hudson's bay- much colder than UK is currently. There is one theory of Ice Ages by Ewing-Donn (Bill Donn phd- was my uncle) which states that warming at the poles will actually cause the next ice age. By this time-according to warming predictions- Florida should be under 3 feet of water, and Manhattan would be flooded- have not occured. At this point all the climate warming predictions, made by computer models hve been wrong. And BTW Global warming has morphed into C limate Change , as no one can deny that climate change happens.

The climate has always gone through cycles and always will. It is the "man made" part (and how big a % man is responsible for) and the idea that we can change it by any great degree. The vast majority of heating or cooling of the planet's atmosphere is from the sun's output cycles. Now pollution, smog etc that is us and can be handled. The US is in general far ahead of most countries of the world in that regard.

We are actually at the tail end of an Ice Age cycle in an Inter Glacial period. The Medieval Warm period reached a peak about 1000 AD. England was the prime grape and wine producer of Western Europe and Greenland really was green on the coastal plains and valleys when the Norse reached it and started colonies. Then the "Little Ice Age" came along and the prime grape/wine region moved south to France, Greenland got colder and the Norse colonies failed by about 1250 AD or so. The Little Ice Age faded out starting in either the late 18th century or late 19th depending on whose studies/books/papers you read. It has been warming over all ever since. But climate changes are not straight line things, they go up, down and sideways* in effect.

NASA and others say we are going into a cooling period due to cycles in the Sun's output - it is going into a low cycle.

*I know, a weird way to put it - some areas will go one way, while others go the opposite. Point A gets warmer and point B gets cooler. Point C gets wetter and point D gets dryer.

They absolutely don't know, they are just trolling and repeating the BS of their masters.
