No long telephotos allowed but I found this interesting: Super zoom cameras or 500mm mirror lenses might get through.

Good rules. If you are a paid professional working the sidelines OK. If you come to the game, you are there to WATCH the game. Please do so and enjoy yourself.
Good idea on the length of lenses allowed, why? because your sitting in a seat and have some one right in front of you, it is for THEIR protection.

I was wondering on the no video policy if that precludes the DSLR bodies that are capable of shooting 4K video? I personally don't like the No Fun League.

Yes, those were well thought out. Lord forbid someone use an NFL team name without permission.

Funny.....NASCAR doesn't give a damn what camera you bring...just show up and wave an American Flag! NASCAR recognizes veterans at the start of the introduction ceremonies as well. AND, the fans remain silent and remove their hats during the national anthem!!

Well, in football you are allowed to sit during the national anthem but you can't bring you biggie into the game.

Wow, great to hear of sporting events that still honor veterans and the national anthem and our flag and veterans are treated with the respect due them.

No video rules need to change since every phone can take video. It's the details and the plays that teams don't want rebroadcasted. Can you imagine a bunch of HH members showing up with long lenses. Ha, set an area up for us with tripods.

After paying for all the photo equipment, how many UUH'ers can still afford Super Bowl tickets!

I think many here are missing the point. It's not that they feel you will "steal" some of the action perhaps for profit (really who would buy anything taken from way up in the stands). The rule is so that you do not inconvenience other ticket holders. Think about it, do you want someone sitting next or in front of you constantly waving that think at you? Even cell phones are a pain.

I attended the pro bowl in Orlando last week. If you remember, it was heavy rain the entire game. After walking quite a distance in the rain, We finally got to the gate. Stopped at the gate "No cameras!" they said. I politely pointed out it was only a 18-140mm lens , way shorter than 6". "Doesn't matter, no cameras!". My wife was giving me the look.... I'll meet you at the seats I said. No answer. Silver lining; after returning to my rental car a 20 min walk away, I discovered I'd left the lights on. If not for the camera Nazi, i would have had a dead battery. :)

I think the super zoom point and shoots would bypass their rules, the lens might be 200mm or greater equiv. but are not 200mm lenses and are less than 6" long at least when the camera is shut down.

You need to read the Original article.
I have a Sony RX10IV and they wouldn't have let that in because it's over 300 mm.
In fact it's 600 mm. and is in the pictures of those types of cameras shown in the article as not allowed.
