My wife uses shutterfly. That site apparently lets folks order whatever as long as they have access to your images.

My Vizio smart TV has a link to Shutterfly. If I posted to it, I'd be able to view all my pictures on my TV. The wonders of the modern world!

Check out this site. They do fulfillment and you can set the pricing to whatever you want. You can have special logins for groups with different pricing. I do that with family when I shoot a members wedding and want them to get their prints at a reasonable price.

I am wanting to create a website. However, its "just" for my Lacrosse pics so parents and players can view and or print them for their own use. I'm not looking to make money on these. I would prefer a free site or minimal start up fee site. I have looked at Wix and not sure if that is over the top for what I would like. I even looked at a forum setup as maybe parents and players could talk about the game over the pic. IDK... this is all very new to me and want something that is easy for me to setup with low cost....ANY suggestions would be wonderful!! Thank you in advance!

I have been using Shutterfly for years with the youth soccer teams.
Password protection, I believe, is important if you are shooting underage players.

Try Nikon Image Space https://www.nikonimagespace.com
Although you won't create a website, it does what you are looking for. You upload photos to galleries you create. Then send individuals a link to which they can see and download the images if they so choose. You can find out how many times your photos have been seen. Also, receive feedback as to which photos people like the most. The first 2Gb are free for everyone. If you shoot Nikon, then the first 20Gb are free and also have the option of having your images uploaded automatically with Snapbridge.

No need for web site. Plenty of good suggestions here. I store all my photos on Google photos (some 30K). Its easy to create albums and share photos. People can also post photos to the albums as well. Its easy and its "FREE" (of course, who knows what Google is doing with all those photos of your kid's Lacrosse games - probably selling your information to some lacrosse stick manufacturer).

I believe Shutterfly has a site for this sort of thing. You can post images there, and parents can order prints from them. The site can be protected, so you can limit access to those folks who have a password.

There are many hosting companies that allow you to create your own site, too. FineArtAmerica.com is one. UHH user, russelray has a huge presence there. https://1-russel-ray.pixels.com

SmugMug.com is another popular sharing site.

Have you thought about/explored creating a "Facebook Users' Group"? As I understand them, you can control who belongs, and members can post comments, photos, etc. At least that's been my experience. I know nothing about the administration of such a group, but it's worth looking into. Yes, participants must have a Facebook account. Hope you find a workable solution. Love lacrosse. (and please, UHHers, refrain from making non-constructive comments about Facebook.)

Hi Navywife,
I have used Shutterfly for that exact reason. I have 5 sites. Free, easy and good tech support. I post images of a particular game, match, ... entitle it and send a link to parents, kids, ...
All the images are protected from downloading. Only those who know the link may view them. This has worked for 7 years for my grandkids' sport teams - soccer, volleyball, basketball and baseball.
PM me for information.

I think Shutterfly is good for your photos and I believe you can start a conversation blog on Blogger for discussion. On Blogger you could put a link (or password) to a (or numerous) photo folders on Shutterfly.

G drive would allow you to share more than just pics (which you could place in a separate folder. This would also allow you to quickly create a slide show for players). Other folders could have team schedules, release forms for parents, tournament brackets, etc.). Dropbox would allow you to do the same - minus the ability to create slide shows with your pics.

I've been putting pictures of bike and ski races on Flickr, the people I'm shooting really seem to love it. I had to upgrade to pro in the last month so it costs something but their uploader is really slick.

You've got a lot of options!

Yes, I agree with the SmugMug suggestion. Based on your description, I don't think you need a website, just a display and viewing option on a host. And you can sell prints or digital downloads directly, as in you set the price and don't have to be there. The technice support is excellent and friendly. They will be happy to set you up.

Try either SmugMug or Zenfolio. Both are easy to use, very low cost based on plan selected and allow for free storage of your files.

www.smugmug.com or www.zenfolio.com
