I just saw the TV weather News this morning. The temperature in Chicago, Illinois is minus 21 degrees. That is unbearable. Coldest I have ever experienced was minus 13, as a teenager. Walking about 1.5 miles in that cold was an experience I'll never forget. In Chicago now, I doubt there will be very few pizzas delivered. In past Superbowl Games. I have been invited out. And when I host, I have pizza, spaghetti, wings and of course. Beer. Another friend I know, says he has a family pot luck affair. Best Buy Stores have sent me countless emails, wanting me to buy a new TV on Sale. I like the one I have already. I saw a TV ad on Samsung's 65" Frame TV, selling for $2200. I imagine many were enticed to buy that TV, just in time for the Superbowl. I forgot, I have various chip dips. Cheese and bean. I think Tom Brady will win #6. IMO. Legendary Songstress Gladys Knight will sing the National Anthem. And others for Halftime entertainment. Enjoy the Superbowl everyone.

Won't be watching this year, for the first time.

IMHO the NFL does a lousy job of making their viewer(s) interested in the game. Whether it's a handful of millionaire morons kneeling during the National Anthem or making excuses for a game-changing (non) call, I have little enthusiasm to spend an afternoon watching. The eagles (not Philly) are active around Anacortes and I think I'll take my dog and camera for a nature walk rather than vegetating in front of the tube.

I second your motion. Sports is no place for politics and social BS. These kneeling idiots are being nothing but divisive.

That was the most crooked officiating I have ever seen. I watched at least 3 head butting spears not called. And the robbery of all was the pass interference and a head butt at the same time while 2 (yes 2) refs had their eyes on the play. One of the refs was about 10 feet from the play and did not call it.

How does the NFL expect fans to pay huge prices for tickets and other junk and watch games that looked fixed. Just my opinion. I am doing something useful on Sunday, taking a cruise to the Caribbean!

I lost my interest in pro sports several years ago. I will watch a game if there is nothing else on or if someone else wants to watch, but I rarely watch a NFL game except for the Cowboys and I watch half or less of their games. We won’t be doing anything special as far as food is concerned but we will have the game on.

I have Net Flix & Amazon Prime. I’m sure to find something more interesting than watching anything NFL.

I am with you....I haven't watched a game from when those clowns started insulting out national anthem...

Yeah, the Saints got a bad no call, that likely cost them a trip to the Super Bowl. But, IMO, that's life! Football is a game played by and officiated by flawed humans. People are now pushing for video replay of interference calls...I don't see it. Technology should not take over the whole game. Then, people will ask for replay of holding calls (the most common foul in football), and for head-to-head contact, and who knows...perhaps for every single penalty. Can you imaging getting a ref to view replay on every other play? Not. So, Saints fans, get over it. The no call could just as likely be for the other team, and then Saints fans would be rejoicing in their good luck!

I will be watching over here in the UK early in the morning. Been watching gridiron since. Montana and the 49ers. Shame that both semi's ended in some controversy but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Hope the game ends up as close as possible. Just as an aside I hope you guys, your families and friends are keeping safe in the bad weather.

Absolutely, I saw those helmet to helmet hits and commented on why they weren't being called. Then the pass interference call convinced me that the game was rigged.
I hope the Patriots rip them apart like 58-0.

I know that the UK loves their Football (Soccer in the USA). But, I forgot we export the American version to London, England. And the stadium is full each year. Joe Montana has 4 Superbowl rings. One less than Tom Brady (5). He's wanting to get #6 at age 41. Two of the greatest Quarterbacks to play the game of football. Yes, the weather is brutally cold in certain parts of the USA. Eight recorded deaths. Thus far.

I used to attend many NFL games when I lived in the South Florida area. I have now stopped watching ANY NFL games, and will only resume watching them when those overpaid crybabies start respecting out flag and national anthem. I understand that they have a right to express their opinions, but NOT when they're on the field in uniform. The OWNERS need to crack down on that disrespect.

I agree. Those players are at work -- on the job. That is not the time to protest. If any of us working stiffs decided to hold a protest -- maybe just walk out of our cubicles or off the sales floor to protest something not related to our jobs, how many of us would still be employed?

The opinions on this post have been mixed. Legendary Songstress Gladys Knight will be singing the National Anthem. There will be 1000 million people watching the Superbowl. Let's see if any NFL player drops a knee while she is singing it?

Yeah Jaymat. And the grapes were probably sour anyway!

What party? What game? The Saints were robbed by the refs, the Chiefs didn’t get a chance in the ot, and I’m sick of Brady and Belechek (sp?). Maybe there will be an old movie rerun on another channel. Never mind; I’ve just started a pretty good detective novel, and Sunday will be a good chance to finish it.

I'm sitting this one out. I don't like the Patriots, don't like the coach or Brady, or Kraft the owner. The foul in the Saints vs Rams was so blatant one might question whether there was bias - also there was a lot of holding calls missed. I'm either going to read a book or get into a bit more depth with my new a7Riii. I may also have to defrost from the arctic vortex.
