I hear ya. My parents were both immigrants. My Italian grandparents came here with 5 children. They had to be sponsored then. My father's grandparents came with him and 3 other children had three more in the country. No get this how did they meet get married stay married for almost 60 years. Have 5 children. My father was a Mick from the other side!!!
We spoke Italian in the house never in the presence of anyone who did not. That would have been rude. My wife and I have Irish Passports because of paternal parents. My children spoke Italian when younger. Not so much anymore. My grandchildren not. Different times. We grew up in a tenement in The South Bronx. Our parents pushed education down our thoughts. The biggest help was the Catholic Church. We all went to Catholic school. The Brothers and the Nuns knew the score they made sure we were at grade level and above.

Thank you to the ones that defended my grammar in my last post. As you can see by my name "LU10IT" I am a lieutenant with a fire department my primary job is saving lives and property. I have enjoyed my second talent as a wedding photographer for over 10 years. I was bored one morning and remembered this chat site and threw that question out there to see what other professional photographers thought. I've not been on here in some time, and if abc1234 ( how long did it take you to think of that catchy name) is the kind of people that are on this site it may be a while before I come back!!!

Indeed, the question was valid but the grammar was not. What kind of person prides themselves or defends such a mangling of the English language? I can understand a foreigner or someone with learning problems but the OP showed himself to be neither. You might think it cute but many of us do not.

Of course, the other alternative is to not respond at all if you're unhappy with the way the OP expressed himself. After all, no one forced you to read or respond to his post. If you are annoyed with his grammatical sloppiness you can show you disapproval by ignoring him and not giving him the benefit of your experience.

When I shot weddings I usually kept them for 2 or 3 years until I was sure there probably wasn't going to be any further reorders. When I decided to get rid of them, I contacted the clients and offered to sell them to them at a low price. It worked out well, and they were almost always sold.

I think there is definitely a moral question. I would hold them as long as humanly possible.

Amen to that. If I tried to comment on all of the spelling and grammatical errors I see on this site, I would not have time to look at all of the photos. As an amateur radio operator and an amateur photographer, my pet peeve is the misspelling of amateur, but I would never tell an OP that he didn’t know how to spell.
