Hey everyone! I am a [very] amateur photographer who lives in Jupiter Florida. My first DSLR was a Canon T2i, purchased in 2009. I always loved taking photos with it and used it for 9 years, taking it on every trip & vacation. Unfortunately, I never got serious about studying photography until this past fall, when out of no-where the photography bug caught me hard. It's my new hobby and for the past 4 months it has consumed what little free time I have and has caused me to miss a lot of sleep, getting up early and staying up late to shoot and study the art and tech behind it. At first I was afraid that my 'love of photography' was merely excitement about acquiring new 'tech toys' to play with and that it would wear off. I started out by upgrading to a D610 and assembling a set of old but good lenses last September. A couple months ago I found a barely used D810 (900 shutter count) in a pawn shop with a 35mm f/2 lens and bargained the price down to $1100. While I love the gear, I also have grown to truly love the process of creating and editing photos, and I don't think it's going to go away.
Welcome to the Hog Adam, great choice in cameras, enjoy.
