I'm not a fan of handcuffs on naked women. I'll bet if you asked 3 or 4 guys to write a story about what the photo tells us about the human condition, I probably wouldn't like the stories either.

To each his own.

YES!!

A recent post of explicit photos w/ interesting lighting produced interesting discourse. Including some self-admitted 'prudes' calling the images vulgar. Below are two approaches to perhaps make explicit images more acceptable. One uses processing tricks following the maxim, "print it grainy and call it 'art'." The other will appeal to arachnid fanciers. So string your longbows and let the arrows fly!

I wouldn't call them vulgar, but a bit clinical instead. I would prefer the first one to have some skin smoothing rather than the grainy look, but that's just me,

What ever we say, keep on working, you are the artist and you must first please yourself.

Funny how we never see penis's in nude photography. All for men & by men, but no men???
Come on girls, how about some equality??

obviously a penis is only a penis too
it is the same for male or female.
unfortunatelly I haven't a penis to show you (maybe in my next life) In this forum there are lots of men. and I am sure that one of them will demostrate that a penis is just a penis (like a finger , an ear, an eye)
and not a bad thing to show and a dirty part of our body suitabile only for porn site

if nobody want no problem ask me and my hubby will be happy to show you his penis,

If I recall correctly we have seen a penis in this section and it was not well received. So in answering your question, please have your husband keep his pants on. Thanks.

I'm NO prude. I didn't condemn it, I simply questioned if it was something meant for this category. Otherwise, bring on the intercourse and sex toys. LOL

And the donkeys and the dog!!!

yes of course ah ah ah

perhaps the non-positive judgments depended on the ......subject...... not on the technical qualities of the photo

Gabby has some very clean muscle and bone structure, which is not always the case. Well coiffed lady parts.

Or perhaps it is on the technical qualities of the photos but all you want is positive comments.

I shoot a lot of nudes and fetish, including ads for prostitutes. I don't think the two photos in question are "vulgar", I just find them unappealing.

Well, considering your statement of what you shoot, along with the fact that you have only posted one image to this section (which I thought was tasteful), can I compliment you as a photographer with integrity?

[quote=travelwp]I'm not a fan of handcuffs on naked women.../quote]

Many photographers and naked women prefer rope or leather or other 'soft' restraints to cold steel. Some like both and some prefer metal.

JohnFrim, I don't know. That decision is solely yours to make.

Although the first image does not appeal to me, I do think this is the proper place to display it and to have this discussion. As to Bonko's comment about why no penis in photography, I refer him to gay men's magazines: there are plenty of peni there. And women photographers don't shot much penis bsadly because they are just not as captivated by looking at penis as we males wish they were.
