Hello all!
I've been reading UHH for a while now and it looks like a great platform for learning.
I used to be a very active amateur with my n6006, years ago. Life changed and I lost interest, mainly due to the starting evolution of digital.
I'm about to order me a d750 with a 28-300mm lens and will be putting in more time to get better with my photography.

The D750 is a fine camera, you will enjoy Full Frame. Concentrate on learning your craft and workflow.
Welcome to UHH. Enjoy the new camera you are about to buy.

Welcome. Have fun. Looking forward to your posts.
Welcome. I love my D750. One thing to to check is the hotshoe. Mine like many others have extra room on the hotshoe and it makes it very difficult get a good connection.

Hey Newby
Welcome aboard. Setting the stage let me say that I had a n6006 years ago too. I also have a D750 and a 28-300mm lens. If you haven't ordered yet, let me offer you a challenge. If you were going to buy 3 lenses in the next year or 2 what would they be? The trinity (14-24, 24-70, 70-200) might be a good mark to plan by. They maybe too expensive but you could chose others that essentially cover that range or larger, but cost less. Once you've done that, is the 28-300 one you'd choose? If so proceed. If not buy one of the 3 in your list.
I offer you this because I wish I had done it. The 28-300 has a very convenient range, but tends to produce results that are sometimes a little soft and it has a focus breathing problem that means you don't usually get the full 300mm at the far end. I've tested it against a 300mm Pf F4 and it is almost always shorter (usually focus breathing is supposed to take place only at minimum focus distance. Not so here).
Just a thought but a good first lens choice may be the 24-120mm F4.
All that, but be confident that you'll have blast with that 750 regardless of your choice.
