St. Andrews is in Scotland. It is easy to tell. The people are nicer and the beer is better

Thanks for the correction. Being several months after the trip and with the bad memory and lack of attention to detail the whole trip through Southern England, up to Isle of Skye, over to the East coast and back to London are all lumped together as a trip to England in my mind. It was disrespectful of me to lump St Andrews and Scotland in with England. My apologies to you.

Just south of Boothbay Harbor in Maine is a pair of island known as "The Cuckolds". There's an old lighthouse on one, that's now a rather pricey Inn/B+B.

Funny the world over. We have Boring, Oregon.

My favorite highway sign was the one we often passed on, I think, Hwy 26, "Boring/Oregon City" exit.

Haha. Can't guess how that one got its name.

It used to be "Dead Skunk Road," but that kept people away, so they changed it.

Yup you’re correct. OR26 runs east/west from the coast to Idaho. From Portland it’s the way tp Mt. Hood.

Paradise is 338 miles north or Hell in Michigan. When it's hot as Hell in Hell (mid-August), it's Paradise in Paradise, and everybody in southern Michigan streams north.

And to go along with Weed, California, up farther north, there is, to my east in north-central California, Cool, California. Yes, the town of Cool.
