It reminds me of the new interest in vinyl recordings. My millennial son is discovering my classical record collection and hopefully is saving me from discarding the 1000+ discs stored now for decades. In a back closet we still have an Omega enlarger, two Canon A1;s and a Pentax medium format kit. One can hope.
The article didn't address the fact that most people who go back to film now just scan the negs, which doesn't make sense to me. I was already getting demands for images in digital format when professional digital cameras were prohibitively expensive, so I got a film scanner. As soon as I could afford a digital camera that was better quality than scanned film, I went digital and never looked back. The only way I can see going back to film is if I was going to set up a darkroom again, and I have no desire to do that.
