This challenge could be a little challenging for a few. Whether you have 1 or 2 bags or even more (I have 3 bags, 1 case at the moment). It is difficult to get a picture of everything I have in 1 shot. I don’t own a wide angle if that would help, probably not. So if you want, take a picture of 1 or 3 items of what you have and post them at different times to make the challenge complete of what is in the bag/bags showing all that you want to post at the end of challenge. More than 1 camera that’s fine also. Newest Bag has 12 compartments, 6 in front, 2 on each side and 2 on top. I will start with the Bags.

Thanks for hosting this challenge and getting me to look at what all I have stuffed into my latest bag.

BUHH, before ugly hedge hog, I was fat dumb and happy with my little Sony Alpha DSLR stuck into a pretty simple bag. Then one day I saw this Tamrac backpack bag in a local camera shop, so I spent some birthday money on it. Compact and convenient to take along even on a plane, and I could hike with it on my back supported on two shoulders rather that slung over one. That was then ….
.… then I found the Ugly Hedge Hog web site and lurked for a while looking in on a few different threads until I came across the Daily Challenge hosted by Photogirl from Tucson, AZ. It wasn’t long that I was experiencing great tips from friendly folks all around the globe. Of course with all these tips comes a need to not only improve technique, but also equipment. And with more equipment you need a bigger back pack. I realized that after the first Photopalooza in 2013 in Colorado. It took a couple more years but I finally found this USA Bear back pack that can haul all this stuff, some of it I’ve even used.

It held a couple extra lenses, manual, extra battery and charger.

Nice Posting Larry like the way you presented what’s in your bag, see a lot of nice things also. Thanks for sharing this info. Been thinking about a vest also – I never have enough pockets – don’t know how the women can manage sometimes. Bob pg14

Thanks so much for the link Lesley. I've got one like that and discovered backpacks just aren't my bag. LOL. I purchased a Seahorse Wheeled Hard Travel Camera Case 24" X 14" X 10" yesterday from a gentleman right here on UHH. It's on its way. When I go out, I prefer something I can throw in passenger seat of the old Jeep, with a flip top. Easy access. If I'm trekking through the woods on foot, I have a fanny pack, and will soon be looking for a camera vest.

I'd say so too. All for $5.00. The lady I purchased them from had inherited them and no need for them.

Oh my Sunny you take all that when you go out backroading??

Yes, for the most part, the XL case lives in the Jeep. It contains a travel studio with lights, and backdrops,, etc. It's rather heavy, so I don't move it around too much.

I wear cargo pants and have a vest or 2 - one problem, "Hmm, I know I put the remote or lenscap or in one of these pockets. Which one?!"

Yep, that's generally my problem too. It's sure easy to loose track of where things are when in the heat of a fast shoot.

LOL..I have the same problem, always losing the lens cap, I know it is in a pocket cause that’s where I put it SO I DON’T LOSE IT!! I think it is our age that helps that scenario out!! Thanks for sharing your info. Bob

I would say more than a rope to navigate that terrain safely!! Maybe boots with spikes would help also!! Thanks for sharing this info. And Nice Pics!!. Bob pg14
