What the heck is up with all the ads showing up on my fav. blog (Ug Hhog), they're at the beginning and throughout the whole page. How can I turn them off? I may have to find something else to read, I refuse to have advertising pushed on me.

Jerry, I need a compass for my new boat. Ritchie is the name that comes to mind.
I already have a Garmin GPS for it.

I don't buy Fords at all. Made THAT mistake 3 times in my 60 years of driving! ALL THREE were lemons.

I "got" it, Jerry. I guess some of the others didn't. Funny nonetheless.

A boat compass need to be mounted and compensated for the magnetic items in the boat, if you move a large iron or steel item you need to re do the compensation, BTW my personal preference is for a flat card type of compass over a direct read, if positioning will allow, more instinctive piloting IMHO.

I also suggest a USCG Aux Safety course that includes navigation. Bob.

The iPhone compass app is awesome.
My 60+ year old Boy Scout compass works fine also.
