Nice! Am all enthusiastically for it, in the name of PROGRESS !
Assuming my shooting the average of one RAW image a day on my trusty Lumix FZ200,
it would take me a little over 165 years to fill this 1 TB card.
Scary.

These cards aren't particularly useful for still photographers, but for those of us who record lots of high resolution, high bit rate video, they're extremely important.

Depends on the bit rate and codec.
4K, 10-bit 4:2:2, 400 Mbps, for sure.

The rating is 95 MB/sec. — megabytes, not megabits.
We will have to wait and see what Sony and Panasonic come up with. Compression schemes for consumer 8K are unknown now.

8K has been on the market for 2 years now. And you need to learn the difference between Read speed and Write speed. 633X Lexar READ speed is 95 Mbps, the WRITE speed is only 80Mbps max.
No SD card can write 8K video. CFExpress is coming at 9000X speeds and will write 8K. They will be the first 8K capable memory cards when they come out later this year.

Yup, even with the 80MB image files off my Sony A7R II, one of these would hold ~12,500 pictures...
Scary to think how many pictures one could lose when one of these craters!!

NOT 80Mbps:
"The Class 10 space monster makes use of UHS-1 technology to deliver read speeds of up to 95 MB/s, but the V30/U3 rating only promises a minimum sequential write speed of 30 MB/s.
30 MBS = about 300 mbs.
