A few from my and Noelene's recent visit. What a terrific old city, Bath. Noelene has got into collecting teapots from this place - real works of art they are too (maybe a photo sometime!). Beach scene from a wonderful old seaside hotel in Newquay, (Great Western) - wine and cheese by the window. Castle Combe in the Cotswold - as lovely a village you find anywhere. And Some wonderful old canal-side pub in Berkshire whose memory escapes me for the moment. Weather was actually excruciatingly warm over there during our stay. So much so we were relived to get back to sunny Australia!

Castle Combe is where they filmed War Horse.

no.1 looks a little on the skew to me and the Romans were meticulous about getting things level.
no.2 Newquay Beech - superb, absolutely superb!
no.3 Castle Coombe is now on the list for this summer, along with a track day visit for a bit of snapology.
no.4 The canalside pub could have been on the Kennet and Avon Canal, been to some, maybe need to get the ol' canoe out again and do them all.

More sticklers than me, apparently John. It was a wide angle lens... and I was hanging over the edge... no excuses though Newquay Beach was actually from our hotel window so we had to "put up" with that view for a week! Castle Coombe is a truly tranquil spot; especially after the day-trippers/tourists leave. And yes.. Kennet and Avon Canal, last one. The village is Kintbury. This shot was taken from the beer garden of the Dundas Arms, a terrific old pub right on the water's edge so you'll have to pop in for a pint when you paddle past. Cheers mate

All good Paul, the Beach scene is a wall hanger.

Cheers Doddy. Great beaches in Newquay - England's surfing capital apparently.

Quite a few films and TV programs have used this place over the years, which is hardly surprising. Beautiful place. Noelene wanted to look at local real estate so I bought her an ice cream instead

Thanks Val... love the "old country" (can't keep away from Devon/Cornwall )

Well if you and Noelene ever get to my village in Cornwall it would be great to meet you both...

I'm afraid it was the pubs and clubs and not the "sea life" that interested me when I was there many moons ago Paul!

Paul, you did an excellent job here, beautiful, very artistic. The last one is like a painting, again excellent.

You've got a deal Val. Noelene keeps leaving brochures lying around and we've only been back a few months
