I'm trying to make a slide show of my nature photos from a local state park. The program I'm working with, the only one I now have, is whatever came with Windows 10. Very frustrating. It won't allow me to move images around the presentation, without re-labelling them, as they have an auto number/alpha sequence that I can't override. It's not practical to name, then rename several times, the same image several times, in order for me to get the 'flow' that I want. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated, even if it costs me a few bucks. My thanks in advance - Strix.

Check the recent UHH topic "Questions about Pro Show Gold". It's a very good program.

I use PowerPoint (Office365). It's easy to compose, design a style, move images and text (boxes) around, add, delete, and re-order slides, and resizing, cropping and simple adjustments to color/contrast/exposure are handy.
Another vote for Pro Show Gold. I've been using it for all my slide presentations for the past 4 years. Easy to use, add your music, tons of transitions, etc. etc.

Thanks for adding the link, Sunnely. I was reading on my small tablet and I'm not sure how to cut & paste on that device!

Please note that PSGold (and Producer) is only for Windoze, Pro Show Web (monthly online service) will work with Mac, Windoze and iOS.
Lightroom has a module for basic slide show preparation.
I have made several using Pinnacle Suite 21 and it is really easy to adjust sequence, add voice over or do preset transitions. I recommend it but it is the only one I have ever used.
Go to photodex.com to see what Pro Show Gold can do for you, about $70. Lots of samples and tutorials, a free trial download. It’s a great program and adding music is a snap.
