A shame that it sits unwanted and empty. Looks like it has great potential for someone.

Not unwanted, just infrequently used by the multiple inheritors.

Good composition, color, reflection, etc. What’s not to like?

Excellent photo and interesting back-story. No doubt the heirs realize its value. Could be they want it as a vacation spot for future generations.

This house is a few hundred yards across the lake from me. The elderly lady who lived there passed away a few years ago, and it now sits idle. No inheritors other than some cousins who never visit.
I kind of like the color and emptiness of the old abandoned house. For me, it has a certain gravity of continued empty existence.

Very nice picture. How big a lake? Any idea about the value of the property?

Very nice. Too bad no one is living in it. It looks like a very nice location.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure they know its value.
There are multiple heirs, so that probably complicates the decision on usage or disposition.

Lake has around 800 miles of shoreline, so yes its big. Largest man made lake in the world when first impounded in the early 1900's.
