I just picked up a nice Pentax K100 6 Mp. However that model was imited to very small capacity SD cards. There was a firmware the raised the capacity limit, but I don't have an SD card small enough to run the firmware, the camera will not recognize any of my larger cards.
Anyone have a small capacity SD card. The camera works fine and has fast AF and produces good images. lost the card that worked before I realized the limit... Duh!
any one? I live in Oregon and will pay a price and shipping for a working small early SD card.

Delkin still makes brand new 2GB cards that will work in that camera.

I have a 1.0 GB Toshiba card from so long ago I can't recall when or why I bought it. The little lock slider is Scotch taped over , or where it was is, don't recall doing that either. It does go into the card slot on my laptop and is empty. You can have it for no cost if you want it.

If none of those work I think I have a couple (2 gig) in several of my smaller quadcopter/drones, I would mail you one free. I think you can get them from hobby outlets too, and it seems I've seen them for sale at the big photo retailers, I don't recall what speed they are, will have to look and see. Also, a lot of cameras listed card capacity limitations that I have exceeded on occasion, with no harm/no foul.

will work with a 2 GB card , have a pentax 6 MB ist D S , will not recognize a card larger then 2 GB , look on e bay or amaz .

If you still want a 1 GB card, I have a Sandisk 1 gb card. PM me with your address and it's yours (NC). Even has the plastic case it came with.

Can you run a disk utility and delete the partition and create a 2gig partition on a larger SD card? I'll give it a try. Greg.

Just Google 'sd card partition tool' and several (many free) come up. This should let you delete the 'too big' partition, and create a smaller, compatible sized partition. Didn't have any luck with Windows Computer Managment. Greg.
