I am trying to lighten my load of Nikon Lenses. I haven't used this one in a really long time. My go to lens is the Nikon 24-70 f2.8. This is my reason for selling it. It has always had a Tiffen uv filter. Come with both caps and a metal hood. I am asking $350 plus shipping costs. Photos on request.
Ken Rockwell says:
****The Nikon 85mm f/1.8 AF and AF-D have superb optical and mechanical quality. They have been among Nikon's most popular lenses for many decades, and rightfully so.
They have superb performance, especially for use on the 36 MP Nikon D800.
I prefer this original lens to 2012's new plastic made-in-China G version. This original lens offers a better 9-bladed diaphragm, superior mechanical quality that will last a lifetime, isn't gelded so it works on every camera, has a hard infinity-focus stop, metal filter threads, faster autofocus and smaller size than the new G 85/1.8.****
Which is it? A AF or AF-D? Thank you.
That is an awsome lens. I have one. It is not for sale. Whomever buys it, I suggest you take that Tiffen filter off so you can enjoy the superb optical quality of that lens.
You're a tad over priced, f/1.8D's are running $350 or less.

Are you interested in the lens? I would be willing to sell it for $350, plus shipping costs.

I'll take it pending your estimate of shipping costs. Please PM me about payment details.

Sorry, PS my zip code is 15108-8975
Would take $200 for it? I'm an old man and really strapped.
