Hello. I hope all is well. Can someone please tell me how I can post photos on my AOL email? Friends and relatives send me photos on my email address and I would like to return the same. Thank you.

There should be an "add attachment" button in your email client, then select the image.
(Most email providers limit the total message size to 20 Meg, so you might want to reduce the size of larger images before attaching them.)

When you compose an email, is there a button that says "attachment"? If so, click on it, find where your image is stored, select it, click attach. I think that should do it.

Before sending your email, look in the top bar to the right of the SEND button and you will see two icons - one is a paperclip and the other looks like a small picture of mountain peaks. To attach a photo to the email message (the best option for highest quality), click on the paperclip icon. A windows explorer window will open. In that window, navigate to the directory/folder where your picture you want to send is located, click on that file name, then click on the OPEN button at the bottom right of the window. If you want to embed the picture in the message space of your email, then click on the small picture icon (that looks like a pic of mountain peaks), and follow the process described above. The picture will appear in your message where your cursor is located. When the picture has loaded, you can click on the little gear icon in the upper left of the picture frame to change the display size from Small to Medium or Large, depending on how large you want the picture to appear in the email. Easy Peasy!

What I described is how it works in your web-based aol.com email. If you're using an aol email client it may not look the same way. If you use an email client, just go to aol.com, login, and follow the directions I've described. I don't use the aol email client as it doesn't work very well for me.

It may look like a paper clip.

You may want to specify what device you are using. There is no paperclip on the PC version and there is no attach file on the IPhone version. It makes a difference to those giving instructions.

I use Yahoo mail for my E-mail. There is a paper clip logo on the bottom of the page. I click on that it opens up Finder. Then I chose what picture to attach from where it is located.

In AOL you can a) hit the little paperclip icon and attach the file or b) hit the little mountain range icon and insert a picture into the body of the email. I prefer to attach since inserting often results in a reduced image.

Thank you all for your input. I'm still confused. How does one get the picture onto AOL email? I have real pictures I want to send via AOL. Do I take pictures of the pictures on a sdhc card and then copy to AOL?

You download the photos to your computer and then, while composing the email, select them from whatever directory you saved them.

Yes you can take photos of your photographs maybe on your phone even, then upload to your computer. Then do as advised in the previous answers received from the others. I hope this helps.

If that means prints then yes, you can take photos of them and post the resulting jpegs. Alternatively you can scan the prints which will give you jpeg files to attach.

If you don't have a scanner, take them to the closest OfficeMax, Office Depot, or Staples. They will scan them for you and put them on an SD card or thumb/flash drive (for a nominal charge). Then you can download them from the memory card/device to a directory on your computer, or plug the memory device into your computer you're using for email access and follow the directions mentioned above. You'll find the pictures in your file explorer when you're attaching them or inserting them into your email.

I believe you mean prints. You need to get an image file of them to add to an email. I find using a scanner better than using a digital camera to make such a file, if you have one.

Once you have the photo in a file form, you may either attach it (use the paperclip) or insert it into the body (the mountain button).
