I have a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 mk II. I keep it on, it doesn’t waste ink, and the print quality is excellent. I only use it a few times a month, if that. No problems in 4 plus years.

I always turn my Canon printer off, of course the last few years I go without printing (photos) for months at a time, probably won't replace it if it dies.

I have a wireless HP that serves the entire household. It stays on all the time. No issues. then again, same for my desktop. I never turn it off either.

I have an HP that stays on all the time although it does go to sleep by itself if not used for a few hours but it is still on.

After finding it increasingly difficult to find OEM cartridges at Costco, and not wanting to pay the ridiculous costs at Staples, I purchased an inexpensive black and white Brother laser to use for everyday printing. After I found that my Epson cartridges were clogging a lot and needed cleaning, I called Epson to complain. Epson said to keep it off, that somehow that protects the nozzles. Knock on wood, that seems to have solved the issue.

I have always turned off my printer after use, been doing that for the last 10 years with the same printer and never had any issues!

As to be expected you hear the same pros and cons here as anywhere else. Not all printers are the same, so reading the manual would make more sense than gathering opinions here.
