I don’t like that the links only have a number and no hint of the topic. I don’t have time to read every topic, and some have no interest to me ( a brand-specific question about a camera I don’t own, etc).

I like it too. Not worried about nudes as I rarely go there to look anyway.

I like your new format. The previous format has too many topics to choose from.
Photos are what I am interested in. The hummingbird is fabulous close up.
Personally, my photos are of morning sunrises and wildlife.

A nice idea but I think a bit overdone in the samples you provide. That is, the title plus perhaps the first line or two of text would suffice - the amount of scrolling required to get a quick overview of topics when images are included as well makes for a more tedious experience

Yes. I'm trying to determine the most optimal number of characters to show.

The old one will remain, but in addition to that we'll have the expanded format. It's basically a list of intro posts for each topic, one after another.

The new format is for people who prefer to scroll rather than scan headlines.

Here are some examples:

Please test it out send me any feedback you might have.
Thanks.

[quote=mikeroetex]Like it...and it should cut down on some of the nasty smart-aleck posts as only those somewhat interested will read on![/quote

Yes to new format. Agree with what Mike said.

I think they look good and would be useful. However, I would align the subjects to the left

I don't like it. I typically scan the topics and read the ones that interest me or the ones (typically excellent photographers) that I have marked as being posted by "buddies". I like being able to do this quickly and the original format allows for this.

Yes. I'm working on it. The difficulty is in figuring out how to make the layout simple and intuitive. One way is to have tabs at the top of the digest's page "All|Main|Gallery|...". Right above the first topic. And if you click on that, you see topics only from that section.

The problem is we have many sections and some have really long names. A tab system like that won't fit on the screen and would look weird.

So I'm not yet sure how to go about that.

This issue was one of my first thoughts, however I find it very appealing and refreshing. Its at a glance much more informative, and really cuts down on the guess work. Whether you got this worked out or not, I think I prefer it.

Sorry, but I don't care for it - I prefer to click on topics that interest me - scrolling through takes way too much time.

Press the Space Bar to move the visible text downward a page at a time.
