I'm working on implementing a new format for the digest.

The old one will remain, but in addition to that we'll have the expanded format. It's basically a list of intro posts for each topic, one after another.

The new format is for people who prefer to scroll rather than scan headlines.

Here are some examples:

https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/digest-issue-expanded?page=1&digestnum=1812

https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/digest-issue-expanded?page=1&digestnum=1811

https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/digest-issue-expanded?page=1&digestnum=1810

Please test it out send me any feedback you might have.
Thanks.

Certainly an improvement as you can read a bit more of the OP's question and decide whether to look at more or pass. It should also allow you to 'jump' those who merely post a 'link' to something only they found interesting on another website.

Having only the title on show....and knowing how spurious these can be...I open lots of posts and close them quickly without replying. Help (I am a Beginner) I generally open and reply to but, Help ( I can't think for myself) Help (I have cash burning a hole in my pocket) Help (I have two options - and shortly I will have 12 new ones)I could now leave strictly alone.

Suites Me
have fun

give me just the headlines in the 'old' format.

gonna give us a choice, like what time to post the daily digest?

Although I like it, I can see one small problem with the format. There are those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to visit this site during the day while at work. Though I like the format, photos that are posted to the Nude (used as an all encompassing term for that section) can inadvertently cause employment issues.

Hmm. I'll see about adding a setting in the profile to hide pictures from that section.

I like it. Often the subject line can either be misleading or worthless by itself.

Count rmalarz as having said EXACTLY what I was about to type. Additionally, the samples posted don't make it clear as to whether the synopses will be divided by section or simply sorted by time. I'd not like a new format that eliminated the division by section.

I’m in agreement with this assessment and for the same reasons as long as the old way is still available.

I've found that with having multiple images displayed on the main page tends to drag on when scrolling down the page. If a thumbnail of a single image could be displayed this would lessen the time it takes to scroll to the bottom of the page or down to the category section. because of the larger and multiple images displayed, I've had to bookmark just those forum categories just to avoid all the images. I personally like just a plain simple format without images. But a small thumbnail would be another to peak readers interest.

Wonderful effort. You certainly know your stuff. That said, I would prefer the existing format. New one seems slower and requires more searching if I am going about it the right way. Headlines usually dictate whether or not I open it up. Don't see the change as worse just different. Maybe it's the "change" thing. lol

I very much like the format.
Are the four examples you have links to in any way different? They all looked the same to me.

Like it...and it should cut down on some of the nasty smart-aleck posts as only those somewhat interested will read on!
