I would love to buy Canon trigger, but after being few lenses, Flash etc Im officially broke. Maybe next year, but for now I hope Yongnuo transmitter is decent enough, especially that I don't do a lot of wireless flash shooting. I hope to get more into it, that is why In invested in Yongnuo 600RT and Canon 430EX III RT. And now with Yongnuo trigger. At least I have two RT Flashes to play with...

There are a few really good Facebook groups that are all about off camera flash.
One of them is titled: "Learn to Light - An OCF Lighting Community".
You have to request to join but it's full of information about how to use what equipment and I've never seen any trolls there.
Very helpful members!

"Off Camera Flash Community" is another one.
There is one that is specific to Yongnou equipment" "yongnuo user group".
Could be more out there.

I was not impressed by the early Yongnou equipment.
Bad manuals, crazy user interface.
I've heard they've improved.
I prefer Godox myself, if I'm not using my Nikon Speedlights.

Yes, manuals are better, straight forward interface. I actually did not have to pay much to the manual. It feels like knock off Canon.

Hello. I'm just waiting for my mail and Yongnuo RT trigger. I will keep you posted with my progress. Over the weekend I obtain another Yongnuo 600RT, so now I'm having 3 RT ready flashes, Canon 430EX III RT< Yongnuo 600RT II ( I Believe) and now Yongnuo 600RT. Participating a success, I purchased small lighting studio (2 stands and umbrellas for Canon Flashes). Later on today, probably in the evening (my mail gets late) I should find out if it will work or not. Wish me good luck.

Ok. I got the trigger. I still have a problem. I can make it work between camera and trigger, but not trigger to flash. Same channel, same id and group (a : b) on trigger, a on flash. ONe thing odd, wireless sign on the camera is off and it will not go on. Help please.
Ps at least I think it works in between camera and trigger since Autofocus support light goes on.

If it’s the E-3 transmitting to the 600 RT, it’s not trivial to set up initially - I found the manual (if you can call it that) to be less than helpful and the menu structure in the 600 RT is maddening. Make sure that both the transmitter/trigger and flash are on the same channel AND the same group as a start, and if you’re using ETTL, that both are set for that. Also, makes sure that ETTL and external flash are enabled in the camera’s menu.

I don't know what you dislike about the manuals for each of those devices, I find them excellent, easy to understand and clearly laid out!

Afetr countless hours and few phone calls to Canon ( told them the trigger was Canon not Yongnuo) I finally figure out what was wrong. My Yongnuo trigger is bad. No matter what channe or ID I would choose, it was not working. My both flashes are brand new and my camera is only couple months old, and the trigger should work without the camera anyway. I just both a Canon trigger, I should get it within few days. I will keep you posted if this will solve my problem. Canon definetely confirm my way of thinking and the setting were correct match channell and the ID on all three units, set trigger for master, flash for slave and you are ready to go. Jack.

OK. After many hours and many trials, as well calls to Canon. I determine that my Yongnuo trigger is bad. Even Canon agreed to it ( I told them that the trigger was Canon). I already both used Canon trigger, just waiting for it's arrival. I will keep you posted once it's arrive. Thank you for all the help and responses. I learned a lot from you about wireless flash systems. Jack.

Hello. I just got my Canon trigger and guess what? Within five minutes all my flashes, including two Yongnuo's fired without a problem! What a relief. Now my mini photo studio powered by Canon trigger, Canon 430EX III RT, Two Yongnuo's 600RT's can take place! I'm new to wireless Flash. That is why was so much harder for me to find out what was wrong. Once again I thank you all for your help. Jack.

After countless hours and phone call to Canon ( I told them that my equipment is exclusively Canon) I finally figure out what was wrong. My Yongnuo trigger YN-E3-RT was bad. I both used Canon trigger and within five minutes all my three flashes, Yongnuo 600RT and Canon 430ECX II RT were firing without a problem. I'm so glad that my issue is solved. Being new to RT Wireless Flash Canon is using and having bad component was just cruel. I thank you all for your help.. The tips I gather will help me for sure. Jack.
